Killing off Professor Andrew Ooi
The Australian Professor is still ranked no.1 for Google search term “Andrew Ooi” but I’m slowly getting there. Just a few weeks ago I had only 2 entries in the first page Google search results. Today I’ve taken 4 positions on the first page.
I’m happy to see my blogs at position 3,4,6 and 7. Can’t wait till I can wipe out Professor Andrew Ooi off the first page of Google. How can I talk about SEO when I can’t even put my own name at the top of Google Search right?

I have not done anything active except to start this blog. The next logical step is to go into my old blog entries and link to this site so it becomes more visible to major search engines.

Good luck to you! Hope u are able to kick off that “Professor” from the top of the list. I did a search on my name and surprisingly, my blog is the first on the result list but I have no idea how I managed to go up there. My knowledge on SEO is still very limited.

Haha, I have one funny suggestion. You should give yourself the title of “Professor Emeritus Andrew Ooi”, nobody can beats that

That is an interesting idea and would no doubt boost my position overall.
Ah … but that would be impersonating. I won’t stoop to such lows just to get my site up there. I want to do it using my own name
